Band saw box; Jewelry / trinket / accessory box, beautifully crafted from a single solid block of exotic Canary Wood. Canary Wood is a very durable exotic wood from South America. Canary Wood has a wide range of colors, this particular piece has some very nice reds, purples, and yellows. This jewelry box has four drawers with various sized compartments as well as a lower tray. The top left drawer: Three 1 1/4" equal sized sections. Top right drawer: Two sections, one 1 1/2" and the other 2  3/8". Bottom left drawer: Two equal sections 1 7/8" Bottom right: One section 3 3/4". Below is a tray, unique to band sawn boxes (as far as I know). This gorgeous dresser/desk top trinket box is hand sanded to 600 grit, with 3 hand rubbed coats of toung oil to protect the wood for generations to come. This toung oil finish allows for very easy repairs should the wood become scratched. Just sand out the scratch, finish sand, then rub two to three coats of toung oil on the affected area.
